Pepe urges Cristiano Ronaldo to join him at PSG while Sergio Ramos pleads with him to stay at Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Pepe has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to join him at Paris Saint-Germain as speculation surrounding the Los Blancos legend continues.

Ronaldo has been accused of tax fraud amounting to £13million and has apparently made an ‘irreversible’ decision to leave the Bernabeu.

International teammate Pepe is expected to complete a switch to the French capital and wants Ronaldo to join him at the Parc des Princes, according to Marca.

The pair are currently together on Portugal duty at the Confederations Cup, where stopper Pepe is reportedly trying to talk Ronaldo round.

Meanwhile, Marca claim his centre-half partner at Real Sergio Ramos has made a telephone call to Ronaldo to urge him to stay at the club.

Ramos was expected to leave Real himself previously, but ultimately penned fresh terms and stayed put.

Manchester United are tipped to rival PSG in the race for Ronaldo, with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward willing to pull out all the stops to land his man.

Ronaldo joined United in 2003 aged 18 and went on to score 118 goals in 292 appearances for the Red Devils in six years.

As reported in Monday’s Mirror, United are willing to splash £175million to sign Ronaldo over the summer, including letting David De Gea leave for the Bernabeu.

And, according to The Sun, Old Trafford is the forward’s preferred destination, and he has reached out to his agent to broker a switch back to United.
