Mohamed Salah is in Egypt ahead of his proposed switch to Liverpool .
The Roma winger is expected to be at Melwood this week ahead of his £35million move.
He has expressed his desire to join Liverpool and his agent is said to be in London for talks with the club.
Salah has posted images on Instagram, revealing he is in his native homeland as he prepares to jet to England on Tuesday.
He posed next to the iconic pyramids alongside friends.
It comes amid reports Salah had cancelled his visit to home town Tanta after negotiations sped up between Liverpool and Roma.
The Egypt winger is one of Jurgen Klopp’s top priorities and has been at the centre of discussions between the two clubs for some time.
Salah scored 19 goals for Roma last season but is understood to be keen to move to Anfield. He would have completed in January 2014 but for a late swoop from Chelsea.
After struggling to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge, however, he moved to Fiorentina on loan before joining Roma.
An initial loan spell was made permanent but it is believed he feels he has “unfinished business” in the Premier League and wants to return.
