Merton burglary appeal – Metropolitan Police

Police have released CCTV footage of three men they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Merton.

The footage shows the three men approach the address on Durnsford Road, SW19 during the afternoon of Sunday, 27 March 2016.

At around 13:00hrs, one man approaches the front of the property and appears to make multiple attempts to test the door and window. He leaves after around four minutes.

Approximately 40 minutes later two different men are captured on CCTV entering the back garden of the property. They notice the camera and cut the wires.

Police were called at approximately 19:30hrs that evening after the occupants of the address returned home and realised they had been burgled. A quantity of jewellery and an antique coin collection were stolen.

Detective Constable Previous Meechok Maingarm, of Merton CID, who is leading the investigation, said: “We have very clear pictures of the three men we would like to speak to following this burglary and I am sure someone will recognise them. If you have any information that could assist the investigation please contact police.”
